So I got the new 2013 core rules at Gencon and some minis I have had for awhile (Gotta figure out what they are though).
Anyone else have it?

Technically I don't have all. I had to resort to some harsh self control not to come home from Gen Con with a starter box of the new Kuklulkani. Don't have The CORE, Dragyri Fire Caste, or the new Outcast Slavers either. Also, I don't think I have enough to field a Skarrd Cult of Blood or Forsaken (St. Luke) yet either. I did focus on adding a few models to the factions I do have, namely Skarrd (Cult of Toxin), Dragyri (Air Caste, Ice Caste), Outcast, Forsaken (St. Mark, St. Mary, and St. John), and Brood.

I haven't gone through all the new rules yet, but the biggest change is the squad rules. It appears now that there are no squads anymore. Instead they have an ability assigned to each leader type model (a squad leader or named hero) called Squad Link. This ability comes with a number and allows the model to activate, in addition to itself a number of un-activated models with the same defined keyword that are within 4" of the model (up to the quantity defined by the Squad Link value for the leader model.
This allows a lot of scalability as you can play small games with everyone virtually an individual all the way up to very large battles full of unit leaders activating full squads of troops. This also allows a lot more fluid movement as troop models can essentially form a squad on the spot and disband into individuals and then form back up into another squad lead by another leader with similar type troops.

Man, those cards are horrible. I am trying to figure out how to Photoshop them into a better configuration.
