I've been reading the rules, built a few gangs and posted up a review here. Overall I pretty much like the game. It's a little simpler than Rezolution, but more customizable, and although both Rez and JDMG have zombies, JDMG has monkeys and well that a plus in anyones book. You can DL the rules direct from Mongoose, as well as the beta rules for the new Block War supplement here. This introduces Brit Cit and Sov Cit Judges as well as Cit Def faction and vehicles. They're also running a Kickstarter to speed up production of all new minis for Block War. That Manta Ray Tank looks sweet.

I got to try out JDMG over a week ago. The game play is pretty quick, and easy to learn. I got 2 350 point games done wthin a few hours which involved reviewing the rules a few times.
The game is setup to play in campaign mode. But is point based such that one can construct a larger force for a one-off game. The scenarios play quickly for campaign play such that you can multiple challenges within a single gaming day.
My first game was using The Mob vs. The Ape Gang. Which went pretty quick as the Ape leader made an attempt to flank the mobsters and engage a wounded Blitzer in close combat. The Blitzer pummelled the orangutan in front of his surviving gangers. All the apes in LOS of seeing their boss get the beatdown had to make a Will to Fight check and failed it bad. They ran off deciding to find a new gang to join. The mobsters won the territory pretty easily.
The next game involved a pair of Judges chasing down a Mutie perp while his comrades covered him. The Judges, as powerful as they are, must spend their first action against a perp attempting to arrest them before they can shoot them, unless the perp shoots first. So the perp with the loot is running as fast as he can and trying to stay out of LOS of both Judges to avoid having to make an Arrest Check (15" range & LOS). The Street Judge was able to get within range and LOS but failed the test. The Mutie boss and his companion were firing on the Judges with some pretty heavy firepower. They wounded the Street Judge but missed the Psi Judge. The Judges opened up on the other two muties and killed them off. However, the Mutie with the loot was able to get off the table successfully.

The new full blown rules for Judge Dredd Miniatures Game are out now. Published through Warlord Games now, so expect a much better quality product.
I bought the PDF for about $24. It has a HUGE amount more material than the original free PDF, which was much more of a beta-test rules, with over 240 pages. Also lots more tweaks and rules changes. - Full Vehicle rules which allow from motorcycles all the way up to huge Grav Tanks - Expanded Army Lists for each gang type, with much more units to choose from - revised weapon and armor stats - Judges from all around the world, Texas City, Hondo City, Bananna City, Luxor, Oz, Brit Cit, East Meg, etc. - The 4 Dark Judges (Judge Death, Fire, Fear, and Mortis)
