You do realize that those prices are for multiple pieces, right? 10 panels for .75 pounds each doesn't sound too bad to me, at least not compared to what one pays for a GW scenery kit.

Perhaps, but I dont see any skulls on those buildings. The skulls increase the price significantly.

Wow. Didn't realize you needed that many tiles to make a single building. Won't be buying any of those then.

You know I saw someone take those giant sized Legos for intants, the ones bigger than Duplo, and glue building patterns around them to make some stackable skyscrapers.
You could easily buy some of the bags of the Mega Bloks version for about $10 right now. Paint them primer grey then print off these Dropzone Commander patterns and cut out smaller strips to glue around each block. Some creative PDF work might be required.
Then make a few top cap pieces to hide the pegs or dress them up as part of the building, light giant air conditioners, water cooling towers, or rotating LED billboards or something.
How you have a variable design building system that can be broken down, stored and transported easily.
