Who's goin? Some of my d&d crew are staying outside the downtown area this year to save money. I don't think I even saw half the convention last year because it is so spread out now after the refurb / buildout of the convention center / Lucas Oil stadium.

It's official! I'm hosting an event at Gen Con. AE-WWII Late Night Patrol, this Friday Night at Midnight. NMN1352602 ICC : Hall C : Red : 22 It's set to 4-6 players, but I think I can get up to 2 more walk-ins if they show up in time.
Matt Hope of Blackball Games has emailed me this morning that he's overnighted some minis to give out to those players who sign up.

New releases of the Draugr and Kreighexe.

What was everyone's best experience at GenCon? Any new games you tried that are totally awesome, or any comments about events, vendors, dealer room, convention center setup, or Indy in general?
I played Munchkin tourney twice (usually advance, not this year), 7 Wonders tourney, Destroy All Monsters Kaiju Battles, Cards Against Humanity, and demo'd a bunch of other games. Played lots of King of Tokyo and got the Space Penguin promo and some promo cards for that game.
Saw Rob there briefly. If I hadn't been in such a hurry, I would have got his phone number to get together with you guys. Maybe next year I'll coordinate that better. Anyway, share your experiences.
I saw a near mint NES in crisp box with blades of steel and tecmo bowl in boxes go for $160 in the auction! Saw hundreds of people in very elaborate costumes. I wanted to beat those Geek Chiq dorks with some foam weapons for selling out their company to the Shark Tank sharks which raised their already super expensive table prices in some cases 40% more!
I think I walked 800 miles.
I sold a small box of d&d mini commons and uncommons, just trimming a few duplicates, which got me $219 in cash or $269 in store credit, so I walked out of coolstuffinc's booth with a box of games I could nearly not carry (which is when I met Rob, on my way to a scheduled event).
Missed out on Boss Monster. Brotherwise Games couldn't afford to go, and they really need to print that game again. I think its coming out in September again. Later dudes.....

I had an absolute blast. Catan and Dust Warfare tournies went great. Demo'd Deep Wars (lot of fun). Then Rez, AE-WWII and various other meandering.
I should have taken your number too! Oh well. You need to come to the club meet one day.

I had a great time playing Blue Planet Savage Worlds and Eclipse Phase. Mongolian Goat Rodeo was a good way to spend an hour. Good shopping and some great games.
