I seem to remember someone doing 15mm goblins for (I believe) Pride of Lions. I don't remember who was painting those. I was wondering if someone could clue me in on who was doing these and how this project turned out. Was this info lost in the big server crash? I'm interested in possibly trying my hand at some other models to go along with those that were started and maybe setting up something when everything thaws out. I'd love to come to a game night but I refuse to drive farther than I have to when its nasty and snowing outside. Since I live in Jackson and you guys meet in Livonia or Flint or farther away driving that far in the winter is a no go for me even with four wheel drive. That however does give me time to prepare for gaming come spring. I'll download the Pride of lions rules after my next check and I can start to assemble something in the next month or so. As an aside does anyone with extensive experience basing minis have any idea how to base minis for both unit basing (like in Pride of lions which has a FOW type of basing scheme) and also make them removable for individual use as I'd also like the ability to use these models with Song of Blades and Heroes which bases models individually instead of as a group?

I'm considering buying the Saexmen army from Splintered light Minis. I'm a little bummed that the rules aren't in print and that I have to download them as a PDF. All in total with the rules and spell cards included Pride of Lions would cost me around $85. not too bad really. Where did you find bases for these minis? I'm considering either going with Litko custom bases or grabbing some FOW bases for them. I know proxie models make some really cool plastic bases and its a one man operation that he put together himself in his garage (and I love supporting the little guy). I wonder if his DBX bases pack would work pretty well for Pride of Lions? It includes 10 bases The sizes are 40mm X 30mm, 40mm x 20mm, and 40mm X 15mm for some crazy cheap price like $5. www.proxiemodels.com/store2/index.php?route=product/product&path=20_61&product_id=62 I already plan on getting some of his 15mm and 20mm round plastic bases for my woodland warriors and druid's children for Song of the Splintered Lands. I stalled on getting into the game until after we moved and I got settled enough to set up an area where I could paint minis without my 2 year old or my 6 year old getting into them. Going to have my computer armoire delivered soon so I can lock up my paints and minis. If anyone is interested the Sauder model I'm getting has a nifty area for book storage up top and plenty of room inside. Its this model show in this picture: www.officedeskreviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Sauder-Harbor-View-Computer-Armoire-in-Antique-Paint-300x298.jpg

Managed to find a print copy of the book and snag the Saexmen starter army. I'm still looking into bases for them. Rorik could you please give me an idea what the base sizes for a typical POL army is? I'm going to snag a pack of bases from Litko once I figure the base size thing out because my book is still in transit as are my minis.

I got the basing info straight from David McBride of Splintered Light Miniatures. He suggests 40 mm bases for the front rank units and 20 x 40 half bases for rear units to make removing casualties easier and I've ordered that mix of bases from Litko. I think I've talked him into starting a Pride of Lions google+ group too. Are you using movement trays with your army? What clan are your Goblins? I just ordered both Wolf and Bat clan goblins and I'll avoid bringing whichever clan yours are from just to make things less confusing. I'll probably individually base that clan for use in Song of the Splintered Lands. I also have the fantasy Romano-British Men of Logres and Dark Elves armies for POL along with a few Splintered Lands armies and extras coming as I've made my yearly large order to SLM.

Sorry I haven't been on lately. My account is all screwed up and I missed the new posts.
I don't remember which clan I was planning on running. I don't think I was planning on moving trays but I have a bunch of trays from Gamesworkshop and Gale Force Nine that I could use.
