Many editions of the Mini Art forum ago I had a thread with some of my painting progress in it. I stopped painting around 2011-2012 when Malifaux moved over to their second edition. Here is a bunch of Malifaux, Wargods and 15mm figures half way done on my painting desk. I have been cleaning up the area a bit over the past month starting to make room to start painting again. Since my Kings of War Forces of Nature army won't be here till the beginning of next year I have decided to pick up something I could play in the mean time. I picked up the Undead Mega Army box from RIW on Saturday. Holy crap there are a lot of pieces to each of these little bastards. Just getting them all off the sprues took me most of a day. I have slowly started assembling the squads. When I finally get everything assembled I will start posting up pictures of my progress. At my current speed of assembly I expect this to happen sometime in 2017.

I managed to pick up 2 2 player starter boxes a few years ago and I have been messing around with assembling the undead and dwarves from them for a couple years now. I have the dwarves fully assembled but I am still slowly plodding along on the undead. I also have a fully assembled elven starter army. With any luck some of these will see some paint by the time you are done assembling your stuff sometime in 2017 as well. I looked at the large box with the rulebook, counters and tokens last time I was at RIW. I might have to pick one of those up as my rulebook for KOW is a fold out pamphlet of what I can only assume are Beta rules. I might also have to look into expanding my Dwarves by adding a mega army to the current mass of angry wee men.

Are you planning on unit basing them for mini-dioramas? or individually for flexibility for other systems?
Thus far, my Elves, and Basileans have been individual based, because when I started, WFB was still a thing and I anticipated crossover. When I get the abyssal army in December, I am going for unit trays since WFB is dead, and I think unit basing will simplify transport significantly.

I was planning on doing some mini-dioramas. Of course I added the square bases to a lot of of the units before I realized that would make it harder to do the dioramas the way I was thinking. I have all of the plastics assembled and around 20 of them primed so far. I have the werewolves assembled and have started to clean up the cavalry from the restic pile. Not quite as easy to clean up as the plastics. As soon as work stops kicking my ass I will get back to this project. Then I might have some pictures of my progress.
