So i am going to try it. I am going to get back into WM. I found that i have more Khador than i thought, so i am in the process of doing trades for my Circle on Bartertown to fill the holes. If anyone has anything they want to trade for Khador, let me know. I want to spend as little as I can.
Why am I doing this? Not sure really. I know why I fell out of love with it, so this might just be a booty call. I will have to see how this MkII works for me.

It's the same, but different.

So Khador is still a "run 1-2 GREAT 'jacks, and all your killer troops/solos" faction.
Your 'jacks are still SPD4 and tend to lack reach, but are tanks that hit like mack trucks.
Your troops are still SPD6 +, often with reach, and hit like smaller trucks.
You will want the Great Bears (if you do not already have) and play them all the time. They are the epitome of Khador troops.
You will also want Kayazy + Underboss and slap Iron Flesh on them. Silly-hard to kill and stabbity.
The "Winterguard Deathstar" is another Khador feature, with the unit + rocket guys + Kovnik Joe to shoot faces off. Epic Sorscha works great with that.
The Mortars are still good.
Then there's the auto-damage shooting gallery. Most people aren't aware of this, or don't quite grasp it, but auto-points add up quick, especially in Khador. Widowmakers + the widowmaker solo + Kell Bailoch + Eiryss (non-epic) adds up to a stupid amount of damage. Throw in Alten Ashley if facing Hordes. Each widowmaker can do 1pt to a model ('caster, 'jack, 'beast). The widowmaker solo can do two shots. Kell can do two if aiming. Eiryss does 3. Alten does a D6 to 'beasts on top of normal damage roll. Vs a 'jack, that's 11 damage regardless of ARM to the location you want. Vs most 'jacks, that is an arm system and two columns gone (1 and 2 or 5 and 6). Alten adds a D6 to that vs 'beasts, plus possible lucky damage roll.
Behemoth, Beast-09, spriggans, demolishers, devestators are popular 'jacks. Juggies are still cheap though.

I have to admit, I like MK II better than MK I.
MK I seemed like a jumble of rules, that while an excellent system, you really needed to be "into" the game to have a shot at actually playing.
With the "universality" of many of the rules, (same effect, same name) it took a lot of the guesswork out of what models actually did.
Additionally, I would find myself having to read the entire paragraph around a weapon in order to find out it had reach or whatever. I really like the new cards, with the symbols, so at a glance, even a noob like me can see quickly what special core rules a weapon has.
Definately some positive changes there.
