I thought that too, initially. However, a lot of the stuff has to be printed on A3 size paper, which is 11.7" x 16.5" I'll have to check the printers at work and see if they can handle the A4 size. I think most do NOT, because of the 11.7" width, but I hope I'm wrong. Fortunately, the A4 stuff (8.3 x 11.7) can usually be handled by most home photo inkjet printers. And Hawk still has plenty of stuff in A4 size.

can you take it to Kinkos or some place like that and get it printed? Cost, sure, but if there is no other option....

I printed a bunch of the A4 ones on regular 8.5 x 11 and I got no clipping or anything. What was left off was white space. These were set up so that they could print on regular paper size. Now the A3...

I printed a bunch of the A4 ones on regular 8.5 x 11 and I got no clipping or anything. What was left off was white space. These were set up so that they could print on regular paper size. Now the A3... Rob, thanks for confirming that, as I figured A4 ones would not be a problem. I'm going to start printing some this weekend. The printers I have access to can not print A3 - they can't handle anything wider than 11". There is enough stuff (different sizes, styles, colors) offered in the A4 size, so not being able to print the A3 material really isn't a problem. It looks like they provided most of everything in both sizes, with the A3 being more convenient - less pages to print, and just folding instead of joining/gluing paper edges. I'll print directly to 110lb card stock, and then mount that to either foam core, or balsa (similar to my Old West buildings). BTW, I received an email last night from Hawk saying my order is ready to ship.

I put together the first two 5x3 buildings. I am impressed. They look great! Lessons learned. The '5x3' name does not indicate actual dimensions. I think they refer to the amount of panels needed to build that the resin buildings will comprise of. Looking at the printouts, I think these are actual photographs of painted resin buildings. If that is the case, those are going to be amazing. These are easy to manipulate in Photoshop for kit bashing. What they gave is essentially everything you need to create any building you want. Big Joy! Only complaint is that the buildings are too 'new' looking. For being abandoned for 170 years, they are still in good shape. After watching 'Life after People' too many times, I am wanting buildings covered in vines and with burned areas. In their pics on the website, they have a ton of buildings exactly like that. Oh well, looks like I will need to photoshop some in. All in all, these buildings are great. I would have actually paid for these, so having them be free is just incredible and actually pumps me up for the game. I cant wait till I get my book. <NOTE: The 15mm minis are for scale. This is a 10mm game>

The top of your washing machine is your new work space !?!?!?!? Those do look great! I agree with you on the 'still new' look. I would add that the roof structures (fans, a/c units, ducting, etc) would have long since rusted out (unless everything is stainless steel ) Also, since it is a war zone, where are the ruins, i.e. demolished or partly destroyed buildings?? Minor points really, since they are free and of such high quality. BTW, my order has shipped and will be here later this week. I'll bring it on the 18th, IF I don't go to the Woodward Dream Cruise Traffic Jam.

Who knows. The buildings are set in a future 500 years from now (and then another 170 years after that), so they might be some non-rusting composite.
Cant wait to see your stuff!
