Thats 3400 points. The other 600 will be 2 warhounds and a leader type for each of the bike squads. Got a scheme in mind now for the titans, but not sure they will be done by wednesday.
Cant hurt to bring epic i guess, not like 6mm takes up much space.

Small Update. Played more than painted this week. 2 Warhounds, 2 more dreads for the green squad, and 2 characters on bikes done. (those sculpts are terrible) Particularly happy with the striping on the warhounds, and the Titan legion symbol painted on the hull and greave of the warhounds. Both Matt, and my wife, asked if they were decals.. guess I did something right! Pics might be letting me down a little. Neither White or Black photographs well, and I was in a hurry.

Phenomenal!! Totally jealous of your rate of painting progress. Kiley better watch out or he's going to loose his speed painting crown ;P

Hey guys. Small update, usual work/kids/playoffs cutting back on the hobby time. Finished my army standard bearer and savage orc hero/warboss for the Orcs over the last month. Pretty non-standard flag for the Orcs, but I like it, it is very striking when placed on the table with the rest of the army, and the blue is quickly becoming the go-to color for the orcs. I can see I need a little more blending work on the horns. (I suck at this) The savage orc has a little bit of the warpaint colors of my 3 savage orc units, so he wouldnt look out of place in any of them. Next, I have some devastators for Epic, as well as some Terminators. I dont exactly know why there are 4 heavy weapons on each of the devastator stands... I got them second hand and thats how they were. I guess if I ever need more, I can re-base them, but for now they are fine, and pretty darn obvious on the tabletop! So bummed that the specialist games are going away, just as I was brought back into epic.

Adding a quick update, I haven't posted any models in a while. I think I have done some epic landspeeders since the last update, but nothing very significant really. Today I am posting my summer self-challenge. Every summer I set a painting goal, and this one is no different. I have already started it as you can see, and I need this done by August. I threw in for the Mantic kickstarter for Kings of War, and got most of my 2,000 point Elven army in November. The rest of it comes at the end of August, and I am hoping the reinforcements get to join a painted army. 40 palace guard, and 20 Stormwind Cavalry are on the way, and those will make this a 2k force in KoW. One of the bowmen units are missing, there are 150 elves and 4 warmachines in the army so far. Thats my goal for the summer. I have painted 3 "test" units. They are painted really to a table standard, and I have yet to decide on the final basing and freehand on the shield. The elves are tiny, and I figured from 3+ feet away, you are mostly going to see the shield, so any real attention to detail is going to go on that. A spearman unit in front, (command is yet to come) and 2 scout units in the back. Anyways. I finished assembling everything today, and I get to really dive into this project hardcore over the coming weeks. Lets see if I can work against the ticking clock! Any basing suggestions are good too... I hate basing.

Snow bases it is! Got the airbrush out this afternoon during the little one's nap. Time is a precious thing with a 5 year old, and a 2 year old around. In a half an hour, the army went from this: To this: Basically I put double sided scotch tape on some popsicle sticks, and stick on 4 models to a stick. They get a liberal spray of Vajello Game Colour Tinny Tin as the first layer. Some of them pop off the sticks and I have to spray them individually, but it is still faster 4 at a time. (and easier on the paint supply) I dont worry too much about TOTAL coverage at this stage. I make sure I get 360 around the model, and spray it down from the top. Any black areas help give the armor shadow, so long as I go all the way around. Next, they will get a wash of Hawk Turquoise mixed with a little white to get a vertigris effect in the creases. Then will come the drybrush of VGC Bright Bronze, with a REALLY big brush. Once that is done, I will break the project down into unit-sized chunks and complete each one at a time. Finally, once all the models are done, I will do the basing, so I get a consistent effect across the army. So far, so good!

12 days in, and this is the state of the army. Not as much progress as I would have liked, but birthdays and major home improvement projects kept me away. 40 spearmen and 20 scouts. Not yet half the army. New basing style, I like much better with the colors I am using. Probably going to have patchy snow as well.

Almost a week... Not as much progress as I would like. Home improvement project has spiralled out of control! 2 units of archers finished this week for 20 done. The state of the army currently. That puts me over the halfway mark for the army. 40 spearmen 20 archers, 20 scouts. I still have 40 more spear, 20 more archers, and 4 warmachines to go, hopefully before Mantic sends me the rest of my kickstarter. I still have to decide on a symbol for the shield, which will determine what I do with the banners. The snow will go on as the very last thing.
